Penn Admits 16.4 Percent

Penn received 22,922 applications this year, compared to 22,646 applications the previous year.  3,769 applicants were admitted, representing an admit rate of 16.4 percent, compared to 16 percent the previous year.  The regular decision admit rate was 13.9 percent this year, compared to 11 percent the previous year.

The average SAT score was 2153.

432 of the admits are African American, 355 are Latino, 851 are Asian American, and 15 are Native American.

Early Applications Decrease by 1.8 Percent

Penn received 3,929 early applications this year, a 1.8 percent decrease from last years 4,001 applications.
