Stanford Admits 10.3 Percent

Stanford received 23,956 applications for admission to the Class of 2011. This number represents an increase of more than 7 percent from last year.  2,465 applicants, or 10.3 percent, were admitted.

Early Action Admit Rate at 16 percent

Stanford received 4,644 early action applications this year, representing a three percent increase from last year. 750 students, or over 16 percent, were admitted this year, while 20 percent were deferred. Stanford expects an early action yield rate of approx. 88 percent.
