Princeton Admits 9.79   Percent

Princeton received 21,964 applications this year, compared to 21,369 last year.  2,150 applicants, or 9.79 percent, were admitted, compared to 9.25 percent last year.  1,331 applicants were waitlisted.

 

10.7 percent of the admits are legacies.  10 percent of the admits are international students.  9.1 percent of the admits are African American, 20.9 percent are  Asian American, 7.9 percent are Hispanic, and 0.5 percent are Native American.

 

In this years applicant pool, 7,800 applicants had a cumulative 4.0 GPA, and more than 11,000 applicants had a combined score of 2100 or higher on the SAT.
